Generation III, or Advance Generation, is the term generally applied to Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon Sapphire, Pokémon Emerald, and the remade Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen versions, all playable on the Gameboy Advance. As well as these games, 2 Gamecube games were produced - Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness - that were capable of communicating with the Gameboy Advance games. Several other spin-offs were also produced, with some being on the Gameboy Advance, but many also appearing on the Nintendo DS and Gamecube.
