Archeops (アーケオス) is the 73rd Pokémon in the Unova Pokédex. It is a Rock/Flying Type, and it is known as the First Bird Pokémon.

Archeops' Ability is Defeatist, which reduces both its Attack and Special Attack by 50% when it's HP falls below half of its maximum.

Archen evolve into Archeops starting at Level 37.

Archeops is in the Egg Groups Flying and Water 3, and it will take approximately 7,680 Steps for its Egg to hatch. It takes Archeops One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.

After evolving from an Archen during the episode Archeops in the Modern World, Team Rocket would try to capture it, only for Archeops to escape their electrical net by using Dragonbreath. Wild Archeops would also appear in two episodes that take place at Twist Mountain.

Archeops is a viable sweeper in the Rarely-Utilized, Under-Utilized and Over-Utilized Tiers of Competitive Battling thanks to a very high Attack Stat backed with a high Speed. While its Special Attack isn't as high as its Attack, it's high enough to be a threat to opponents expecting physical attacks. The biggest problem that Archeops has is its Ability, because once its HP falls below 50%, Defeatist activates, cutting its Attack and Special Attack in half. Plus, it's low Defenses don't allow it to take too many hits.
