Audino is in the PU tier of competitive battling. It is a premier special wall that good support capabilities thanks to its access to Wish, which allows for it to fit on many different team archetypes. Regenerator sets it apart from other Wish passers as it can switch out and pass a Wish to another teammate while being able to heal off 33% of the damage that it has taken itself. Its Normal typing is not too bad defensively, as it only gives Audino a weakness to Fighting attacks and allows for it to take a lot of hits neutrally without too much trouble. However, Audino suffers in regards to its offensive prowess, which is severely lacking and can lead to it being set up bait if it forgoes Encore or Thunder Wave. It also is susceptible to all forms of entry hazards and status ailments if it does not run Heal Bell.
Audino is also a viable option in the Rarelyused (RU) tier of competitive battling. With decent bulk, a good support movepool, and a great defensive ability in Regenerator, Audino can function pretty well as a defensive Pokémon. It faces competition from Alomomola and Mega Audino as a Wish passer, but it has Heal Bell to differentiate itself from Alomomola and does not take up the valuable Mega slot like Mega Audino, which means that it eclipses it regarding full on defensive support sets. However, Audino suffers in regards to a lack of offensive prowess which makes it extremely passive. Its typing is alright in terms of taking hits from special attacking threats due to a lack of weaknesses, but it does not offer anything in the way of resistances and only gives it an immunity to Ghost attacks. Audino is also shut down by Taunt users which can render it useless and incapable of performing its support role.
