Azurill can have one of two abilities: Thick Fat, an Ability that reduces the damage taken from Fire and Ice Type Attacks by 50%; or Huge Power, an Ability that doubles the power of all of its Attacks. However, the effect of Huge Power is reduced by half if the Ability gets changed by way of Skill Swap. Azurill from the Dream World use the Sap Sipper Ability. This ability increases its Attack by one stage should it take a hit from a Grass-Type move, and it won't take any damage from that move either.
Azurill can evolve into a Marill when it has a high Happiness Value and Levels Up. It can evolve into Azumarill once Marill reaches Level 18, or the first Level Up after evolving Marill should Azurill evolve at Level 18 or higher.
Azurill is in the Undiscovered Egg Group. An Azurill can be hatched from an Egg if a Marill breeds while holding a Sea Incense. This Egg takes approximately 2,560 Steps to hatch. It takes Azurill 800,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
Azurill takes on the appearance of a small rodent with a ball on its tail.
 Gender Differences
Azurill doesn't have any differences to differentiate between male and female. It is worth noting that Azurill is a rare case of a pre-evolved Pokémon having a different Gender Ratio than its evolved forms; Azurill's Gender Ratio is Male 25%-Female 75% whereas both of its evolved forms are 50-50.
 Game Information
 Original Games
This isn't necessarily required in the Generation IV games, as Azurill appears in the Great Marsh in Diamond and Pearl, and also appears as the Daily Pokémon in the Trophy Garden in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. Azurill appears at the Safari Zone's Savannah area in Heart Gold and Soul Silver, but 5 Water Objects havet to be placed in that area before Azurill start appearing.
 Spin-off Games
Azurill makes appearances at Secret Storage 7, Huge Storage 1, Endless Level 13 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.
Azurill can be found at Snow Hole B1-B4, the first three floors of Frosty Forest and the first four floors of Howling Forest in the first Mystery Dungeon game. In Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, Azurill appears at Crevice Cave B1-B10 and DP B1-B4, and Mt. Avalanche B1-B19. Azurill is exclusive to Stormy Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing on the first ten floors of Storm Island.
Azurill has not made an appearance in any of the Pokémon Ranger games.
Azurill appears at the Arcane Area's Lakeshore in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond. To befriend it you'll have to answer a quiz.
Azurill can be found at Sun-Dappled Bank Lake 2-1 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.
 Trading Card Game
Azurill appears in only three sets, with a different rarity listing in each appearance. The Common Card version of Azurill is in the Diamond and Pearl set. Its debut appearance in the EX Sandstorm set is its Uncommon Card listing, and its Rare Card listing is in the EX Delta Species set.
 Anime/Manga Information
Misty first appeared with an Azurill in the episode The Scheme Team!, and made subsequent appearances in the two following episodes. Other trainers have appeared to own an Azurill; while most were cameos one such cameo involved May and her Torchic getting into a confrontation with a Wild Azurill and its evolved forms in the episode A Bite to Remember, which ended with Torchic getting defeated.
Azurill's Manga info is unknown at this time.
