Beartic (Unova Pokédex. It is an Ice-Type, and it is known as the Freezing Pokémon.) is the 120th Pokémon in the
Beartic uses the Snow Cloak Ability. This Ability takes effect during a Hailstorm, increasing its Evasion by one level under the aforementioned condition. Beartic that come from the Dream World use a different Ability than Cubchoo, using the Swift Swim Ability. This Ability doubles its Speed while it is raining, but it doesn't activate on the same turn in which it starts raining.
Cubchoo can evolve into Beartic at Level 37.
Beartic is in the Field Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Beartic One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.
Beartic takes the appearance of an adult-stage polar bear. It has a few light-blue icicle-shaped patterns that originate from under its chin.
Beartic has no distinguished features in its appearance to differentiate between male or female.
Beartic appears at Dragonspiral Tower during the Winter in Black and White. In Black 2 and White 2, Beartic can be found at Twist Mountain during all seasons, and at Dragonspiral Tower during the Winter.
Beartic appears at the Crag Area's Colosseum in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond. To befriend it you'll have to play a game of Hide and Seek with Cubchoo. After befriending Beartic you'll be able to call it into battle.
Beartic appears within the Blizzard Nation in Pokémon Conquest.

Beartic is listed as a Rare Card in the Emerging Powers (2) and Next Destinies sets.
Georgia uses a Beartic in the episodes Iris and Excadrill Against the Dragon Buster! and Reunion Battles In Ninbasa! Brycen also uses a Beartic in a couple of episodes yet to be released outside of Japan.
Wild Beartic appear in the Black version of Pokémon Movie 14.

Beartic finds itself in the Never-Utilized and Rarely-Utilized Tiers of Competitive Battling. If left unchecked, Beartic is a sweeeping threat, but its low Speed coupled with common weakness--including Stealth Rock--leave much to be desired. Could be of use to teams that utilize Rain Dance once its Dream World Ability gets released, which could potentially affect its Tier placements once this happens.
