Bibarel (ビーダル) is the 14th Pokémon in the Sinnoh Pokédex. It is a Normal/Water Type, and it is known as the Beaver Pokémon.
All three of Bibarel's Abilities are related to either the Statistics of itself or its opponents. The Simple Ability doubles the effectiveness of its own Statistic modifications, while the Unaware Ability completely ignores the Statistic changes of its opponent. Bibarel's Dream World Ability is Moody, which will increase one random Statistic by two stages while reducing another Statistic by one stage. Statistics affected by the Moody Ability include Accuracy and Evasion.
Bidoof can evolve into Bibarel at Level 15.
Bibarel is in the Egg Groups Water 1 and Field, and its Egg takes approximately 3,840 Steps to hatch. It takes Bibarel One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.

[edit] Biology
[edit] Physiology
Bibarel is a somewhat big Pokémon that closely resembles a Beaver. Similar to Bidoof, Bibarel is mostly light brown, but also has cream-colored areas on its body, like its chest and the mask on its face. It also has a black snout like Bidoof, a red nose, and two teeth big teeth sticking out of its mouth. Bibarel also has a black, paddle-like tail with a while stripe going through it.
[edit] Gender Differences
On a male Bibarel, its mask has two bumps on the side of its eyes, while on the female, it does not.
[edit] Game Information
[edit] Original Games
Bibarel appears at Routes 208, 209, 210, Lake Valor, the Great Marsh, and Lake Acuity in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. Bibarel also appears at Route 212 and Spring Path in Diamond and Pearl, and at Lake Valor Lakefront and Sendoff Spring in Platinum. In Heart Gold and Soul Silver, the only way to obtain a Bibarel is to either evolve a Bidoof or transfer a Bibarel from the Pokéwalker, as Bibarel can be found on the Big Forest Pokéwalker course.
Bibarel appears at Village Bridge in Black and White, and appears at a Hidden Hollow on Route 3 in Black 2 and White 2.
[edit] Spin-Off Games
Bibarel can be found at Mt. Travail 1F-19F at random in Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky. Bibarel also appears at Sky Summit PTC4-8 1F-4F and PTC9 and PTS 1F-5F in Explorers of Sky. In Mystery Dungeon 3 Bibarel appears at Secret Archipelago in Blazing Adventure Squad; at Secret Highland in Stormy Adventure Squad; and at Secret Rockmountain in Light Adventure Squad. In each version Bibarel appears on the same floors: 18F-24F.
Bibarel appears at the Cargo Ship, Vien Forest, Ranger Union, Union Road, and Peril Cliff in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs Bibarel appears at the Right Exit Room and Light Room in the Daybreak Ruins in the Present, but Bibarel doesn't appear in the Past Missions.
Bibarel appears at Aurora and Fontaine in Pokémon Conquest.
[edit] Trading Card Game
Bibarel appears in the Pokémon Rumble set, and is listed as an Uncommon Card in the Stormfront and Supreme Victors sets. Bibarel is listed as a Rare Card in the Diamond and Pearl set.
[edit] Anime/Manga Info
[edit] Anime
A few different trainers have used Bibarel, including Reggie during the episode Lost Leader Strategy!
[edit] Movies
Another trainer used a Bibarel in the film The Rise of Darkrai. Wild Bibarel appear in the film Giratina and the Sky Warrior and the Pikachu Short Pikachu's Exploration Club.
[edit] Manga
Bibarel's Manga Information is unknown as of writing.
[edit] Pokémon Information
[edit] Competitive Battling
Bibarel finds itself in the Never-Utilized Tier of Competitive Battling. It does have some options available to it depending on its Ability: with Simple it could use a set based on boosting its own Statistics, or with Unaware it could ignore the Statistic Boosts and potentially stop the sweep in its tracks. Either way, its biggest problem is mediocre (at best) statistics--faster Pokémon that hit harder than it will beat it easily.
