The Bicycle is a Key Item that was first seen in the first generation of Pokémon video games, Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow and Green. It is acquired in a number of different ways, depending on the video game you are playing. It allows the player to move a lot faster than walking, or running with Running Shoes. Different music also plays once the player mounts the Bicycle, and only changes once the player enters a new area. The Bicycle can not be used in certain areas, such as buildings. The Cycle Path is a designated area for bicycles. There are also different types of bicycle, depending on the video game, for example, the Mach Bike and the Acro Bike in Pokémon Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald.
