Cell Battery

Cell Battery.png The Cell Battery, first appearing in Pokémon Black and White games, is a one-time-use held item that, when hit by an electric attack, will raise the holder's attack one stage.

[edit] In-Game Descriptions

  • Black/White: A consumable battery. If the holder is hit by an Electric-type move, its Attack will rise.
  • Black 2/White 2: A consumable battery. If the holder is hit by an Electric-type move, its Attack will rise.
  • X/Y: An item to be held by a Pokémon. It boosts Attack if hit with an Electric- type attack. It can only be used once.
  • Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire: An item to be held by a Pokémon. It boosts Attack if hit with an Electric- type attack. It can only be used once.

[edit] How To Obtain

  • This item cannot be bought in shops in-game on any generations and game cartridges.
  • This item can be traded between Generation 5 or Generation 6 titles, provided the Pokémon being traded is holding the Cell Battery as its item and both game cartridges can trade back and forth.
    • Black/White: The Cell Battery can be obtained by showing a man in Opelucid City a Pokémon with the move Charge from the opposite game version. It can also be bought at the Battle Subway for 32BP.
    • Black 2/White 2: The Cell Battery has a new location in the Generation 5 sequels. South of Driftveil City is the Pokémon World Tournament, or PWT, where the Cell Battery can be obtained for 16 BP, which is also the cost of the Cell Battery at the Battle Subway in these games.
    • Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire: The Cell Battery can be found at the Battle Resort, and when using the DexNav, can be held by a Wild Plusle or Minun. These two Pokémon won't be holding this Hold Item otherwise.

[edit] Item Warnings

Please remember that this item is a one-time-use item, and will be unavailable after it's first use. It's recommended that you save it for a strong opponent/Pokémon or for battles such as Gym Leaders or the Elite Four.
