Clamperl (パールル) is the 176th Pokémon in the Hoenn Pokédex. It is a Water type, and is known as the Bivalve Pokémon.

Clamperl has the Shell Armor Ability. This Ability prevents the opponents' attacks that target it from landing a Critical Hit. A second Ability is available to Clamperl from the Dream World, the Rattled Ability. This Ability increases its Speed Statistic by one stage should it get hit by a Bug, Ghost, or Dark Type Attack.

Clamperl's evolution depends on the item that it is holding when it is traded. If traded while holding a DeepSeaTooth, it evolves into a Huntail; if traded while holding a DeepSeaScale, it evolves into a Gorebyss.

Clamperl is in the Water 1 Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Clamperl about 600,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
