Covet is a Normal-Type move introduced in Generation III. This move is intended to steal the held item, but the item theft won't happen if the user is already holding an item or the targeted Pokémon has the Sticky Hold Ability. The damage is dealt no matter what happens.

Covet had a Base Power of 40 when introduced in Generation 3, but was increased to 60 in Generation V. Covet originally had 40 PP upon introduction, which was reduced to 25 in Generation VI.
