Delcatty (エネコロロ) is the 62nd Pokémon in the Hoenn Pokédex. It is a Normal Type, and is known as the Prim Pokémon.
Delcatty only had the Cute Charm Ability available when it was introduced in Generation III. This Ability causes a Pokémon of the opposite gender that uses an attack that requires physical contact against the Pokémon that has this Ability to become Infatuated 30% of the time. Generation IV added a second Ability to Delcatty, the Normalize Ability, an Ability that turns all moves that it knows into a Normal-Type move regardless of what type it would normally be.
Delcatty gained a new Ability in Generation V as well, this Ability limited to Delcatty from the Dream World. This Ability is called Wonder Skin, an Ability that causes moves that only afflict status conditions (such as Confuse Ray or Thunder Wave, for examples) to work only half the time.
Skitty can only evolve into a Delcatty if a Moon Stone is used on it.
Delcatty is in the Egg Groups Field and Fairy, and its Egg takes approximately 3,840 Steps to hatch. It takes Delcatty 800,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

[edit] Pokémon Information
[edit] Competitive Battling
Delcatty finds itself in the Never-Utilized Tier of Competitive Battling. None of its Statistics stand out and are below average overall. It does have a decent support movepool, allowing it to serve as a cleric with both Heal Bell and Wish. The Normalize Ability makes all of its moves the Normal-Type, which allows Thunder Wave to afflict Ground-Type Pokémon with Paralysis.
It doesn't take much to stop Delcatty; using Taunt will shut down its support options. All it takes a strong attack to cause a lot of damage to defeat Delcatty, if not cause a One-Hit KO.
