Delcatty (エネコロロ) is the 62nd Pokémon in the Hoenn Pokédex. It is a Normal Type, and is known as the Prim Pokémon.

Delcatty only had the Cute Charm Ability available when it was introduced in Generation III. This Ability causes a Pokémon of the opposite gender that uses an attack that requires physical contact against the Pokémon that has this Ability to become Infatuated 30% of the time. Generation IV added a second Ability to Delcatty, the Normalize Ability, an Ability that turns all moves that it knows into a Normal-Type move regardless of what type it would normally be. Delcatty's Hidden Ability is the Wonder Skin Ability, an Ability that causes moves that only afflict status conditions (such as Confuse Ray or Thunder Wave, for examples) to work only half the time.

Skitty can only evolve into a Delcatty if a Moon Stone is used on it.

Delcatty is in the Egg Groups Field and Fairy, and its Egg takes approximately 3,840 Steps to hatch. It takes Delcatty 800,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

[edit] Spin-off Games

Delcatty is one of the Shadow Pokémon that appears in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. It appears when battling Cipher Admin Lovrina at the Cipher Lab.

Delcatty appears at Huge Storage 2 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.

Delcatty can only be obtained by evolving a Skitty in the first Mystery Dungeon game. Delcatty appears at Concealed Ruins B10-B15 and World Abyss B8-B15 in Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky. Delcatty is exclusive to Stormy Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3. It can be found on the first ten floors of Chocolate Island.

[edit] Anime/Manga Information

[edit] Pokémon Information

[edit] Competitive Battling

Delcatty finds itself in the Never-Utilized Tier of Competitive Battling. None of its Statistics stand out and are below average overall. It does have a decent support movepool, allowing it to serve as a cleric with both Heal Bell and Wish. The Normalize Ability makes all of its moves the Normal-Type, which allows Thunder Wave to afflict Ground-Type Pokémon with Paralysis.

It doesn't take much to stop Delcatty; using Taunt will shut down its support options. All it takes a strong attack to cause a lot of damage to defeat Delcatty, if not cause a One-Hit KO.

III Pokémon Ruby Delcatty prefers to live an unfettered existence in which it can do as it pleases at its own pace. Because this Pokémon eats and sleeps whenever it decides, its daily routines are completely random.
III Pokémon Sapphire Delcatty sleeps anywhere it wants without keeping a permanent nest. If other Pokémon approach it as it sleeps, this Pokémon will never fight-it will just move away somewhere else.
III Pokémon Emerald Rather than keeping a permanent lair, it habitually seeks comfortable spots and sleeps there. It is nocturnal and becomes active at dusk.
III Pokémon FireRed The favorite of trend-conscious female Trainers, they are used in competition for their style and fur.
III Pokémon LeafGreen The favorite of trend-conscious female Trainers, they are used in competition for their style and fur.
