Dusknoir (ヨノワール) is the 191st Pokémon in the Sinnoh Pokédex. It is a Ghost type, and is known as the Gripper Pokémon.
Dusknoir uses the Pressure Ability. Whenever an opponent uses a move, this Ability doubles the amount of PP used.
Duskull can evolve into a Dusclops starting at Level 37, and can evolve a second time into a Dusknoir if is traded to another game while holding a Reaper Cloth.
Dusknoir is in the Amorphous Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 6,400 Steps to hatch. It takes Dusknoir 800,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

[edit] Biology
[edit] Physiology
Dusknoir takes on the appearance of a floating ghost with a yellow face-like pattern on its torso.
[edit] Gender Differences
Dusknoir doesn't have any gender differences to differentiate between male and female.
[edit] Game Information
[edit] Original Games
The only way to obtain a Dusknoir is to evolve a Dusclops, which is consistent in both Generations of games in which Dusknoir appears.
[edit] Spin-off Games
Dusknoir appears at Sky Stairway 1F-49F in Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky. In Explorers of Time & Darkness, Dusknoir appears at Sky Rift; in Explorers of Sky it appears at Sky Fissure, but the floor range is the same regardless the version: B14-B15 & DPB1-B4.
Dusknoir appears in all three versions of Mystery Dungeon 3, obtainable at each games' respective Secret Area.
Dusknoir appears at Hippowdon Temple in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia after defeating it in a Boss battle. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, Dusknoir appears in the Noir Forest in the Present, and the Dark Temple Mission "Glowing Roads in the Darkness" in the past by S-Ranking the mission, a daunting task in itself because of how difficult Dusknoir is to defeat in this particular mission, especially going it alone (even at a high level).
Dusknoir can be found at the Haunted Zone in PokéPark Wii: Piakchu's Adventure. After beating Rotom's Spooky Shoot-'em-Up, complete a Tag Race to obtain it. In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, Dusknoir appears at the Tech Area's Unawarehouse after befriending Duskull. Battle it to befriend it, after which you'll be able to call for its assistance in battle.
Dusknoir can only be obtained in Pokémon Conquest by evolving Dusclops.
[edit] Trading Card Game
Dusknoir appears in six sets and a Diamond & Pearl promo. It is listed as a Rare Card in the Diamond and Pearl, Stormfront (3; 1 Lv. X Card), Supreme Victors (Frontier Brain Card) and Boundaries Crossed sets.
[edit] Anime/Manga Information
[edit] Anime
A Wild Dusknoir appeared in the episode Ghoul Daze to take an evil spirit out from the world of the living.
Ash would face a very tough challenge in his Sinnoh League battle against Conway, whose Dusknoir used Trick Room to turn the tables into his favor. The strategy worked successfully in defeating Ash's Noctowl and Donphan, but it lost the battle-and the match-to Gible.
[edit] Movies
Dusknoir has yet to appear in any of the films as of writing.
[edit] Manga
A trainer named Hugo, who is the director of the Goldenrod City Radio Station uses a Dusknoir in Chapters 453 and 460.
[edit] Pokémon Information
[edit] Competitive Battling
Dusknoir was listed in the OU, or Over-Utilized Tier of Competitive Battling as of Generation IV, but fell back to the Rarely-Utilized Tier of Competitive Battling in Generation V. While it remains a solid spinblocker, its Defensive capabilities make for a great tank, plus it also has a solid Attack Statistic, which allows it to go for a sweep with Trick Room support and allows for some variant in its moveset that a Dusclops wouldn't be able to utilize.
While trying to Burn an opposing Pokémon is a good strategy, but Pokémon that benefit from a Status Condition or immune to Fire-Type moves can get a free substitution with good prediction. Status conditions in general are bad news for Dusknoir if it isn't using Rest or has the support of a cleric.
