Exploud has the Soundproof Ability. This Ability gives it an immunity to sound-based attacks such as Screech, Uproar, and Perish Song, just to name a few examples. However, should this Pokémon switch out with Baton Pass, the Pokémon that comes in to replace it will still be affected by Perish Song. A second Ability is available to Exploud from the Dream World, the Scrappy Ability. This ability allows it to strike a Ghost Type opponent with a Normal Type or Fighting Type attack without having to rely on the use of Foresight or Odor Sleuth to remove a Ghost Type's immunity to these two types of attacks.
Exploud takes on the appearance of a large, bipedal monster with a gapingly huge jaw and multiple sound ports on its body.
 Gender Differences
Exploud doesn't have any distinguishable characteristics to differentiate between male and female.

 Pokémon Information
 Competitive Battling
Exploud is a part of the Rarelyused (RU) tier of competitive battling. With an amazing STAB attack in Boomburst, Scrappy to hit Ghost-types with its powerful STAB, and great coverage attacks in Fire Blast, Focus Blast, and Surf, Exploud is among the most difficult Pokémon to switch into in the RU tier. A Choice Specs set gives Exploud maximum power to work with, and it excels especially against slower defensive teams. Even bulky resists like Mega Steelix and Rhyperior do not enjoy stomaching a Boomburst and are hit hard by Exploud's coverage moves. It helps immensely in helping out faster threats due to its ability to wallbreak through common balanced and stall cores. However, Exploud's lack of resists, average defenses, and vulnerability to status conditions limit its switch in opportunities and restrict it from being too overpowering. It is also far too slow for it to be able to sweep through opposing teams, and that low Speed also leaves it vulnerable to being revenge killed.
Exploud is also a viable option in the Underused (UU) tier of competitive battling. Thanks to STAB Boomburst in its disposal, Exploud can be a niche wallbreaking option in UU. Scrappy helps Exploud even further in terms of being able to spam its powerful STAB, as it can hit through Ghost-types for massive damage. Exploud's coverage moves allow for it to hit the resists it need to hit, making it so that Blissey is the only legitimate stop to Exploud. However, Exploud is full of flaws, including a low Speed and mediocre defensive typing, both of which limit it heavily in terms of wallbreaking and make it so that it is easy to revenge kill.
