Flaaffy (モココ) is the 54th Pokémon in the Johto Pokédex. It is an Electric-Type, and it is known as the Wool Pokémon.

Flaaffy uses the Static Ability. Using this Ability, whenever an opponent uses a move that requires physical contact against it, that opponent has a 30% chance of becoming afflicted by Paralysis. A second Ability is available to Flaaffy that come from the Dream World, the Plus Ability. This Ability increases the power of its Special Attacks by 50% whenever it is battling with another Pokémon that has either the Plus or Minus Ability.

Mareep evolve into Flaaffy at Level 15, and gain the opportunity to evolve into Ampharos starting at Level 30.

Flaaffy is in the Egg Groups Monster and Field, and its Egg will hatch after approximately 5,120 Steps. It takes Flaaffy 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Physiology

Flaffy takes the appearance of a pink bodied sheep, able to stand on two feet, and has white wool. Flaafy's most distinguishing feature is its pink and black tail with a blue ball on the end.

Flaaffy doesn't have any visible characteristics to differentiate between male and female.

Original Games

Flaaffy was introduced in the Second Generation of Pokémon. Flaaffy can be found on Routes 42 and 43 in Gold and Silver, and the Generation 4 remakes Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

Flaaffy can be found on Route 222 by using the PokéRadar in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum,

The only way to obtain Flaaffy in Emerald and White is to evolve Mareep.

Spin-off Games

Flaaffy is a Shadow Pokémon that appears in Pokémon Colosseum, obtainable by snagging it from Street Performer Diogo at Pyrite Town. Flaaffy can also be obtained in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, but Mareep has to be Purified before it can evolve.

Flaaffy appears at Endless Levels 53 & 64, Forever Level 3 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.

Flaaffy can be found at Lightning Field 7F-13F in the first round of Mystery Dungeon games. In Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, Flaaffy can be found at Amp Plains 8F-10F & I1F-I5F. Flaaffy is exclusive to Light Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing at Light Summit 11F-20F.

Flaaffy appears at Chroma Highway in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. Flaaffy appears on Latolato Trail during the present era in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs. In the past, Flaaffy can be obtained in the Ice Temple missions "Round and Round! Find the Floor!" and "Rush Ahead! Don't Look Back!" by defeating it or another form in its evolutionary line and obtaining its Slate. What Pokémon that slate represents won't be known until defeating that stage's boss.

Flaaffy appears at Violight in Pokémon Conquest.
