Florges is a part of the Underused (UU) tier of competitive battling. With a great defensive typing, good support options in Wish and Aromatherapy, and high Special Defense, Florges is a very common sight in UU, and for good reason. Florges has a good STAB move in Moonblast and a decently high Special Attack for some decent form of offensive prowess. It can run a support set that uses its great resistances to full advantage, handling special attackers and Fighting-types while keeping healthy through Wish or Synthesis. Florges can also run a defensive Calm Mind set that can beat other specially defensive Pokémon and heal off status thanks to Aromatherapy. However, Florges has a somewhat underwhelming Defense stat even when fully invested and can be taken advantage of by Fire-types, Steel-types, and certain set-up sweepers. Florges also struggles against certain stallbreaking moves like Taunt and Trick, and its abilities are utterly useless in the singles format.
