Forrestress is the 205th Pokemon in the National Pokédex. Known as the Bagworm Pokemon, it has a Steel/Bug Dual typing.

Forretress has two abilities, Sturdy and the Dream World ability Overcoat. The first ability, Sturdy, prevents One-Hit KO moves from effecting Forretress, and if Forretress is at full health and takes a hit that would normally KO it, it will survive with 1 HP. The second ability, Overcoat, prevents Hail and Sandstorm from effecting Forretress (However, Forretress is already immune to Sandstorm under normal conditions thanks to its Steel typing).

Pineco may evolve into Forretress beginning at level 31.

Forretress is in the Bug Egg Group, and its eggs take 5120 steps to hatch. Forretress needs 1,000,000 Experience Points to reach level 100.

[edit] Competitive Battling

In both Generation IV and Generation V, Forretress has remained in the OU Tier, thanks to its unique typing that gives it only one weakness, great Physical Defense, access to all three entry hazards (Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes, and Spikes), and the ability to rid it's own side of the field of said hazards through the use of Rapid Spin. Forretress can often be seen using Gyro Ball to take advantage of its low Speed stat.
