Gallade (Sinnoh Pokédex. He is a Psychic/Fighting type, and is known as the Blade Pokémon.) is the 170th Pokémon in the
Gallade has 2 abilities at his disposal: Steadfast, and Justified. Steadfast raises his Speed Statistic by one one stage each time that he flinches. Focus Punch flinches, do not activate it, however. Justified raises his Attack Stat by one stage each time he is hit with a Dark-type move, however this ability is only available to Gallade from the Dream World.
Gallade is in the Amorphous Egg Group, and his Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Gallade 1,250,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
Gallade takes on the appearance of a fighter that utilizes swords that extend at the elbows. The majority of its upper body is green, except for the face and horns, which are now at its midsection. Its lower body is white.
Gallade are a male-only Pokémon species.
Gallade appears at Sky Rift B1-B9 in Explorers of Time & Explorers of Darkness, and Sky Fissure B1-B9 in Explorers of Sky. Gallade is exclusive to Light Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing at Weird Forest 1F-12F, and Legendary Mountains at Floors 27, 29-30, 32-34, 37-40, 43-44, 46 & 49.
After defeating it as a Boss, Gallade appears at the Altru Building in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. Gallade also appears in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, at the Third Floor of the Sky Fortress in the room on the right in the Present; and the Dark Temple missions "Ground-Shaking Dragon Pokémon" and "Glowing Roads in the Darkness", both by defeating it and obtaining its Slate while defeating the boss in the respective mission within the time limit.
Gallade can be found at World Axle Tower B2 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.
The only way to obtain a Gallade in Pokémon Conquest is to evolve a Male Kirlia with a Dawn Stone.
Trading Card Game
Gallade appears in three sets and Pokémon Organized Play Series 7 as a Rare card. It is listed as a Rare Card in the Secret Wonders and Rising Rivals sets (2). The Rising Rivals set Gallade are SP Card for a member of the Elite Four, and one of the two Gallade Cards is a Secret Holo Lv. X Card.
Zoey's Kirlia had evolved into a Gallade by the time she faced Dawn in the episode A Grand Fight for Winning!, which was the finals of the Sinnoh Grand Festival. Zoey would win the Grand Festival by a very small margin.
Gallade's Manga Info is unknown as of writing.
Gallade is a part of the Rarelyused (RU) tier of competitive battling. Its nice STAB combination hits Poison, Steel, and Fighting-type Pokémon, all of which are common in the tier. With access to Knock Off, Gallade can power its way through the bulky Psychics in the tier like Slowking. A high base 125 Attack further supports Gallade's strong STAB attacks in Close Combat and Zen Headbutt, and that Attack stat can be boosted to greater levels with Swords Dance, becoming a fearsome wallbreaker in the process. A great Special Defense stat gives Gallade some decent opportunities to set up and allows for it to use a Bulk Up set relatively effectively to patch up Gallade's mediocre physical bulk and make it difficult to take out on both sides of the spectrum. Gallade's biggest flaws are its low physical defense and HP stats, making it difficult for it to take physical attacks relatively well especially after a Close Combat defense drop. Gallade also faces competition from Medicham, Virizion, and Hitmonlee as Fighting-type sweepers and wallbreakers that can provide either better immediate power, better sweeping potential, or better overall offensive utility. Its average Speed stat leaves it vulnerable to being taken out by faster Pokémon like Flygon or priority attackers like Fletchinder.
