Garbodor can have one of two Abilities: Stench, which repels Wild Pokémon and could cause Flinching by using an attack that requires physical contact against an opponent; or Weak Armor, which increases its Speed by two stages but lowers its Defense by one stage when an attack hits it. Its Hidden Ability is Aftermath. Using this Ability, the foe that dealt the final hit to this Pokémon loses 25% of its HP.
Trubbish can evolve into Garbodor at Level 36.
Garbodor is in the Mineral Egg Group, and it takes approximately 5,120 Steps for its Egg to hatch. It takes Garbodor One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.

In Pokémon X and Y, Garbodor can be caught at the Lost Hotel and Pokémon Village in the shaking trash bins, and can also be caught at the Friend Safari. The only way to obtain it in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is to evolve a Trubbish.
Garbodor appears within the Tech Area's Unawarehouse in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond. It can be befriended by defeating it in battle, after which you'll be able to call it into battle.

A Wild Garbodor appears during the episode Scraggy and the Demanding Gothita! Garbodor got angry because another trainer's Gothita accidentally landed on it, which got it riled up. A trainer's Deerling used Aromatherapy to calm its rage. Roxie also used a Garbodor during the episode Rocking the Virbank Gym part 2
Garbodor has yet to make an appearance in the Movies.

Its offensive and defensive stats are mediocre, it lacks Speed, and has a shallow movepool that doesn't have anything to fend off Steel-Type Pokémon. However, it will still see some use in these tiers because of its access to two entry hazard moves.
