Generation VI

Generation VI is the newest Generation in the Pokémon Franchise, announced on January 8, 2013.

The announcement revealed two new games, titled Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, which feature new, 3D graphics and five new Pokémon: three Starter Pokémon and two Legendary Pokémon.

In a first for the Pokémon Franchise, the first two games of a Generation will be released worldwide in the same month. Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are expected to be released in October of 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS.
