Gigalith (ガントル) is the 32nd Pokémon in the Unova Pokédex. It is a Rock type, and it is known as the Compressed Pokémon.

Gigalith's ability is Sturdy, which nullifies the effect of One-Hit Knock Out moves such as Fissure or Horn Drill, and starting with Generation V, all Pokémon that have this ability cannot be knocked out when its HP is full. In this instance the Pokémon will have 1 HP left instead. A second ability exclusive to Gigalith captured in the Dream World (either as a Gigalith or either of its two pre-evolved forms), called Sand Force, increases the power of Ground, Rock, and Steel-Type moves by 33% during a Sandstorm.

Gigalith is the final evolution of Roggenrola, which evolved into Boldore at Level 25. Boldore can only evolve into Gigalith if Boldore is traded to another Pokémon Black or Pokémon White Game Card.

Gigalith is in the Mineral Egg Group, and its Egg take approximately 3,840 steps to hatch. It takes Gigalith 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Gigalith takes the appearance of a rock monster with gems growing out of its entire body; with multiple gemstone growths on its head, body, and four legs.

Gender Differences

Gigalith doesn't have any distinguishable characteristics to help differentiate between male and female.

Game Information

Original Games

Gigalith can only be obtained by inducing a Boldore to evolve in Black and White, but a Gigalith can be obtained in Black 2 and White 2 by way of an in-game trade on Route 7. The trainer is asking for an Emolga in exchange.

Spin-off Games

Gigalith appears at the Tech Area's Train Depot in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond after befriending Roggenrola. It can be befriended by defeating it in battle, after which it can be called into battle.

In Pokémon Conquest, the only way to obtain a Gigalith is to evolve Boldore.

Trading Card Game

Gigalith is listed in two sets and a Black/White Promo. It is listed as a Rare Card in the Emerging Powers and Noble Victories sets.

Anime/Manga Information

A Wild Gigalith appears in the episodes Ash Versus The Champion and The Four Seasons of Sawsbuck!

Gigalith has yet to make an appearance in the Movies.

Gigalith's Manga Information is unknown as of writing.

Pokémon Information

Competitive Battling

Gigalith is listed in the Never-Utilized Tier of Competitive Battling due to having a very low Speed and a relatively shallow movepool. Its Sturdy Ability all but guarantees that it will get an attack off if its HP is full, but can be a dangerous opponent on a team featuring the move Trick Room due to a very high Attack stat.
