Goodra (Kalos Mountain Pokédex. It is a Dragon-Type, and is known as the Dragon Pokémon.) is the 21st Pokémon in the
Goodra can use one of two Abilities: Sap Sipper, which increases its Attack by one stage should it get hit with a Grass-Type move and nullifying its damage; or Hydration, which heals any Status Conditions that it has been afflicted with when it is raining. Goodra's Hidden Ability is Gooey, an Ability that lowers the Speed Statistic of a Pokémon that uses a move requiring physical contact by one level.
Goomy can evolve into Sliggoo at Level 40 and can evolve a second time into Goodra at Level 50 while it is raining in that area (rain brought upon by Rain Dance or Drizzle will not trigger evolution.)
Goodra is in the Dragon Egg Group. It takes Goodra 1,250,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
Goodra takes on the appearance of purple bipedal Dragon, apparently made of goo. Unlike Sliggoo, its eyes have developed, and are green in color, as are the spots on its face and tail, along with the goo that drips from its chin and arms.
Goodra doesn't have any visible differences to differentiate between male and female.

Goodra is a part of the Underused (UU) tier of competitive battling. With a great base 150 Special Defense, Goodra is an effective special tank that can dish out decent damage with its 100 base Attack and 110 base Special Attack. Goodra's ability Sap Sipper gives it an immunity to Grass-type attacks and its typing also gives it three more resistances. Goodra's best set is its Choice Band set that has very good coverage options like Earthquake, Power Whip, and Iron Tail to complement a powerful STAB Outrage. It can also surprise certain foes like Florges that are expecting a specially oriented set. A more conventional Goodra set is a Choice Specs set that has well-rounded coverage and can tank special attacks relatively well while putting the hurt on opposing teams. An Assault Vest set bolsters Goodra's Special Defense to very high levels and allows for it to act as a special sponge. However, Goodra suffers from having a mediocre Defense stat and a lack of reliable recovery. It also faces competition as a Dragon-type from Hydreigon, which is a much more threatening presence than Goodra due to its superior Speed and power.
Goodra is also a viable option in the Overused (OU) tier of competitive battling. Goodra's ability to act as a special tank can prove noteworthy when taking on major special attacking threats like Gengar, Mega Charizard Y, and Thundurus. That makes it a great candidate for an Assault Vest set that can dish out some decent damage while having great Special Defense. Goodra also has some great coverage options in Fire Blast and Sludge Bomb, and Sap Sipper is a great ability that allows for Goodra to take advantage of the presence of Pokémon like Ferrothorn and Celebi. However, Goodra suffers from being relatively slow, being susceptible to all forms of entry hazards, and having no access to reliable recovery. Goodra is also easily walled and is overshadowed by other Dragon-types like Garchomp and Latios.
