Gorigan is one of the Cipher Admins in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness for the Nintendo GameCube. He is much smarter than he looks, while being powerful at the same time. His "domain" is the Cipher Key Lair, where the Shadow Pokémon are made.

His Pokémon Colosseum counterparts are Ein and Dakim, as he seems to be a mix of both of them. He has the brute force that Dakim uses against his enemies, and the cunning that Ein has and uses to manage the Shadow Pokémon Lab. Gorigan is in charge of managing the Cipher Key Lair, where all of the Shadow Pokémon have their hearts closed (excluding XD001), which is filled with machinery, so he has to be smart in order to operate it. He also looks like he is ready to beat someone up, and he remarks that he can, and he would.

Personality

Gorigan acts a bit like an ape. Despite his portrayal, he is actually much smarter than he shows. He is gruff, and always seems to be ready to battle with anyone that would dare to get in his way. During Michael's invasion of the Cipher Key Lair, he appears to be very intimidating, as Zook runs off, frightened of what both Greevil and Gorigan would do to him if they found out he was defeated by a little kid.

However, when Gorigan is defeated, he cowers down. Greevil shows up on the giant screen in Gorigan's office after Michael defeats him, and scolds Gorigan, causing him to run off like a coward. It is presumed by many that the Cipher Peons don't actually know that Gorigan can be such a coward at times, as many are cowardly towards him, and are afraid to make him angry. When he gets angry, he truly enters a state of rage, and it's almost impossible to calm him down.
