Gothita (ゴチム) is the 80th Pokémon in the Unova Pokédex. It is a Psychic Type, and is known as the Fixation Pokémon.

Gothita has the ability Frisk. At the start of a battle, or when Gothita is brough into the battle, this ability reveals what the foe has for a held item. If no information comes up, then the foe has no held item. A second ability obtainable via the Dream World is an ability called Shadow Tag. With this ability, Gothita's opponent cannot run or be switched out. The opponent can still switch with other methods such as Baton Pass.

In a new wrinkle to the Shadow Tag ability starting in Generation V, if Pokémon that have Shadow Tag switches out, the opponent remains trapped.

At level 32 Gothita gain the opportunity to evolve into Gothorita. It can evolve a second time at Level 41. The name of its final form is Gothitelle.

Gothita is in the Human-Like Egg Group, and its Egg will hatch after approximately 5,120 steps. It takes Gothita 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Gothita takes the appearance of a very young infant child. As the name suggests, Gothita's appearance is mostly black with the acception of the white bows in its hair and on its body, and the facial features, which appear mostly pink with the acception of the eyes and mouth.

Gothita can be found at Routes 5 and 16 in Pokémon Black. In Black 2, Gothita can be found at Routs 5 & 16 and the Stranger's House. The only way to obtain a Gothita in White and White 2 is to trade for one.

Gothita appears at Wish Park in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond after defeating Reshiram or Zekrom. It can be befriended after defeating it in battle, after which you'll be able to call it into battle.

Gothita appears within the Gem Nation in Pokémon Conquest

Gothita appears in two sets and the National Beginning Set, which was released in Japan. Gothita is listed as a Common Card in the Emerging Powers (2) set.
