Growlithe (ガーディ) is the 58th Pokémon in the Pokédex. It is a Fire-Type, and it is known as the Puppy Pokémon.

Growlithe can use one of two abilities: Intimidate, which lowers the opponent's Attack stat by one stage upon this Pokémon's entry into the battle; or Flash Fire, which increases the power of its Fire-Type attacks when it gets hit by a Fire-Type attack, also giving it an immunity to Fire moves. A third Ability is available to Growlithe from the Dream World, the Justified Ability, an Ability will cause Growlithe's Attack to increase by one stage when it gets hit by a Dark Type attack.

Growlithe can evolve into Arcanine when a Fire Stone is used on it.

Growlithe is in the Field Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Growlithe 1,250,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
