Overview

This is the first chapter of the main game. It is mainly the introduction and your first Mystery Dungeon exploration, Beach Cave.

Walkthrough

Once you load the game, you will be asked to ask questions. What you answer chooses your starter. There is no personality guide yet, but when one is found, it will be added. The possible starters or "main hero" are:

• Squirtle
• Pikachu
• Vulpix
• Eevee
• Chikorita
• Cyndaquil
• Totodile
• Phanpy
• Treecko
• Torchic
• Mudkip
• Skitty
• Turtwig
• Chimchar
• Piplup
• Shinx
• Riolu

You can always reset if you don't like your chosen starter. After that, you can choose your partner, the one who finds you on the beach. You cannot, however, be the same Type as your partner, and so same-type partners are removed from the list. Without the removals, you can pick any of these (the personality test does not choose them):

The beginning of this game is very perplexing. First, you are in a storm with someone shouting (You will learn who this was later in the story, alongside the rest of the transformation) "Hold on! We are nearly there" and then you wake on a beach, with no memory except your name and that you were once a Human, and then faint again. Meanwhile, your Partner is trying to enter Wigglytuff's Guild but can't build up enough courage to go in. He decides to depart for the beach. After he awakes you, his personal treasure, the Relic Fragment, is stolen by 2 Pokémon, Zubat and Koffing. You then go into Beach Cave.

Beach Cave

Beach Cave:
Number of Floors: 4 + Pit
Boss: Zubat and Koffing
Objective: Reach the bottom.

Beach cave is easy, but can be quite challenging at first. The game will give you hints on what to do, the main focus on most dungeons is to get to the bottom by finding stairs on each floor. Once you get to Beach Cave Pit, you will fight the two that stole your partner's Relic Fragment. They have around 20-40 HP each.

Once defeated, they will scoot and you have your relic fragment back. Once the game escorts you out, the chapter comes to an end and you can save.
