Happiny can use one of two Abilities: Natural Cure, which cures any Status Conditions that it has become afflicted with whenever it is switched out of battle; or Serene Grace, which doubles the chances of a move having its secondary effect activate. Its Hidden Ability is Friend Guard, which reduces the amount of damage that Allied Pokémon take from other teammates.
Happiny is in the Undiscovered Egg Group, but a Happiny Egg can be bred if either of its evolved forms are holding a Luck Incense while breeding, an Egg that takes approximately 10,240 Steps to hatch. It takes Happiny 800,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
Happiny takes on the appearance of a small, pink egg with small arms and legs. It carries a small, round stone in its pouch.
Happiny is a Female Pokémon species.
Happiny can be found at the Trophy Garden in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, and can be hatched from an Egg that is given at the Hearthome City Gate. In Heart Gold and Soul Silver, a Happiny can be obtained by breeding a Chansey or Blissey, or on the Amity Meadow Pokéwalker course, but the Amity Meadow Pokéwalker course is only available by way of an Event.
In Pokémon X and Y, Happiny can be obtained by breeding a Chansey or Blissey. In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, it can be caught in the wild at the Mirage Mountain east of Mossdeep City, and the Mirage Forest west of Route 105.
In Pokémon Sun and Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, Happiny can be caught in the wild at Route 1, Route 4, Route 5, Route 6, Hau'oli City and Lush Jungle when called on by a Pichu, Igglybuff or Bonsly in an S.O.S. Battle. In addition, it can also be caught at Blush Mountain, Mount Hokulani, Poni Grove, Seaward Cave and Wela Volcano Park through S.O.S. Battles when called on by Cleffa, Smoochum, Elekid, Magby or Riolu.
Happiny can be found at Happy Outlook B1-B19 in Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, and at Joy Cape B1-B19 in Explorers of Sky. Happiny is exclusive to Blazing Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing at Chocolate Mountain 1F-7F.
Happiny appears at Vien Forest in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, Happiny can be found in the Noir Forest on Mitonga Island in the Present, but can't be obtained in the Past Missions.
Happiny appears at Echo Valley Forest 1-3 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.
Trading Card Game
Happiny is listed as a Common Card in Pokémon Organized Play Series 8 and the Platinum set, and as an Uncommon Card in the Mysterious Treasures set.
Brock would hatch a Pokémon Egg that contained a Happiny in the episode One Big Happiny Family. Since then, Happiny has been seen numerous times with Brock, sometimes lifting objects that are much heavier than she is over her head with little difficulty. Brock's Happiny would evolve into a Chansey during the episode The Brockster Is In.
Happiny has yet to appear with any other Trainers or in the Wild in the Anime.
Brock's Happiny makes appearances in the films The Rise of Darkrai, Giratina and the Sky Warrior, Arceus and the Jewel of Life and Zoroark: Master of Illusions, along with the Pikachu Shorts "Pikachu's Great Ice Adventure," "Pikachu's Great Sparking Search" and "Pikachu's Really Mysterious Adventure."
Happiny's Manga Information is unknown as of writing.
Happiny is listed in the Not Fully Evolved Tier of Competitive Battling as it is an unevolved Pokémon.
