Kabuto (カブト - Kabuto) is the 140th Pokémon in the Pokédex. It is a Rock/Water Type, and it is known as the Shellfish Pokémon.
Kabuto can have one of two Abilities: Swift Swim, which doubles its Speed when it is raining, but not on the same turn in which it starts to rain; or Battle Armor, which prevents the opponents' moves from ever landing a Critical Hit. A third Ability is available to Kabuto that come from the Dream World, the Weak Armor Ability. This Ability increases its Speed by one stage but lowers its Defense by one stage each time it gets hit by an attack, provided those repsective stats haven't been increased or decreased six levels.
Kabuto gain the opportunity to evolve into Kabutops starting at Level 40.
Kabuto is in the Egg Groups Water 1 and Water 3, and its Egg takes approximately 7,680 Steps to hatch. It takes Kabuto One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.
