Kakuna (コクーン) is the 14th Pokémon in the Pokédex. It is a Bug/Poison type, and is known as the Cocoon Pokémon.
Kakuna uses the Shed Skin Ability, an Ability that gives it a 1 in 3 chance of healing from a status condition every turn.
Weedle can evolve into Kakuna at level 7, and can evolve a second time into Beedrill at level 10.
Kakuna is in the Bug Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 3,840 steps to hatch. It takes Kakuna One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Kakuna can be found at Viridian Forest and Routes 24 and 25 in the Generation I games Red and Blue. Kakuna could only be obtained by trading for one in Yellow. Kakuna would be available at the Bug Catching Competition in Generation II across all three games. In Silver and Crystal, however, Kakuna could also be obtained at the National Park, Ilex Forest, Routes 2, 30, 31, and at the Headbutt Trees.
Kakuna would be available at Viridian Forest, Route 25 and Pattern Bush in the Generation III games FireRed and LeafGreen. With LeafGreen Inserted into the Nintendo DS, Kakuna could also be obtained at Eterna Forest in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum after the National Pokédex is obtained.
Kakuna can be obtained at the Bug Catching Contest in Heart Gold and Soul Silver, as well as Routes 2, 30, 31, Ilex Forest, National Park, Viridian Forest, and the Headbutt Trees at Ilex Forest in Soul Silver.
Kakuna can be found at Route 12 in Pokémon Black. In Pokémon Black 2, the only way to obtain a Kakuna is to breed a Beedrill, then evolve the offspring Weedle. Obtaining one in Pokémon White and [[[White 2]] requires trading with another Generation V game.

Kakuna appears in Secret Storage 5 & 15, Endless Level 14 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.
Kakuna can be found at Joyous Tower 9F-13F in the first set of Mystery Dungeon games. In Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, Kakuna appears at Apple Woods 8F-12F. Kakuna is exclusive to Blazing Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing at Cheerful Meadow 2F-6F.
Kakuna has yet to appear in the Pokémon Ranger series.
Kakuna can be found in the Haunted Zone in PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure. To obtain Kakuna, beat Rotom's Spooky Shoot-'em-Up first. Knock it from a tree, then talk to it to finish the process. In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, Kakuna appears at Windmill Way in the Arbor Area after retrieving it from Wish Park. There are four Kakuna in the area, and knocking all four Kakuna simultaneously is how you befriend it.
Kakuna can be found at Misty Edgewater Forest 2-2 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.

In addition to his Weedle, Gold also owns a Kakuna at his home, which he grew up with. This Kakuna appears in Chapter's 91-93.
Bugsy uses two Kakuna that are capable of weaving nests made of silk, utilized to ensnare and trap their enemies. These Kakuna appear in Chapters 100, 102, 134, 449 and 451.
