Lampent (Unova Pokédex. It is a Ghost/Fire Type, and it is known as the Lamp Pokémon.) is the 114th Pokémon in the
Lampent can have one of two Abilities: Flash Fire, which activates when hit by a Fire-Type move, nullifying the move and its effects, and increasing the power of its own Fire-Type attacks by 50%, or Flame Body, which has a 30% chance of Burning an opponent that uses a physical contact move. A third Ability is available to Lampent that come from the Dream World, the Shadow Tag Ability. This Ability prevents its opponents from switching out or running away, unless the opposing Pokémon uses Baton Pass to switch.
Lampent is in the Amorphous Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Lampent 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
Lampent takes on the appearance of an old street lamp with two eyes in the center. The purple flame burns on the inside of it, but it can still be seen.

Lampent appears at Wish Park in Poké Park 2: Wonders Beyond after Wish Park has been merged. To befriend Lampent, you'll have to defeat a Chandelure, after which you'll be able to call Lampent into battle.

 Competitive Battling
While Lampent isn't a fully evolved Pokémon, it can make an impact in the Never-Utilized and Rarely-Utilized Tiers. Holding Eviolite can help it survive hits that it wouldn't survive otherwise, and can use its high Special Attack and a good support movepool to disrupt the opposition. However, faster Pokémon with a Super-Effective attack will cause problems for it unless Trick Room is set up.
