Leavanny (ハハコモリ) is the 48th Pokémon in the Unova Pokédex. It is a Bug/Grass type, and it is known as the Leaf-Wrapped Pokémon.

Leavanny's ability is Swarm, which increases the power of its Bug-Type attacks by 1.5 times when its HP falls below one-third of its maximum, and Chlorophyll, which doubles the Pokémon's Speed when the weather is Sunny, however this takes effect the turn after the weather became sunny. A third Ability is available to Leavanny from the Dream World, the Overcoat Ability, which prevents this Pokémon from taking damage from weather effects, protecting it from the damage caused by Sandstorm and Hail.

Swadloon evolved from Sewaddle when it reached Level 20. Swadloon can only evolve into Leavanny when a strong bond must be forged between the trainer and Pokémon, along with a subsequent Level Up. This is also known as a Friendship Evolution.

Leavanny is in the Bug Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 3,840 steps to hatch. It takes Leavanny 1,059,860 experience points to reach Level 100.

Leavanny takes the appearance of a mantis-like bug that is also wrapped in leaves in multiple locations throughout its body.

Leavanny can be found at Route 6 and Lostlorn Forest in Black and White. In Black 2 and White 2, Leavanny appear at Routes 6, 12 and the Lostlorn Forest, and occasionally appears within a Hidden Hollow in Lostlorn Forest.

Leavanny appears at the Verdant Courts in the Arbor Area in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond. It can be befriended by defeating it in battle, after which it can be called into battle.

In Pokémon Conquest, the only way to obtain a Leavanny is to evolve Swadloon.

Leavanny is listed in the Never-Utilized and Rarely-Utilized tiers. While its typing leaves it twice as vulnerable to Fire and Flying Type attacks, it has a high Attack with a solid Speed to make it a viable sweeper/revenge killer despite having a rather limited movepool to choose from.
