Lickitung () is the 108th Pokémon in the Pokédex. It is a Normal-Type, and is known as the Licking Pokémon.
Lickitung can use one of two Abilities: Own Tempo, which gives it an immunity to becoming Confused; or Oblivious, which gives it an immunity to becoming infatuated with an opposing Pokémon. A third Ability is available to Lickitung from the Dream World, the Cloud Nine Ability. This Ability negates the effects of any and all weather effects that would otherwise be in effect while its user remains in battle.
Lickitung is in the Monster Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Lickitung One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.
Licktung takes on the appearance of a pink bipedal Pokémon whose tail is thick and powerful. Its other notable feature is its very long tongue, which also has a high level of dexterity.
 Gender Differences
Lickitung doesn't have any differences to differentiate between male and female.
 Game Information
 Original Games
Lickitung can only be obtained by an In-Game Trade at Route 18 in Red and Blue. The trainer requests a Slowbro in return. In Yellow, Lickitung can be found at Cerulean Cave. The original method of obtaining Lickitung is reprised in Fire Red and Leaf Green, as the In-Game Trade still happens at Route 18, but different Pokémon are requested in each game. In Fire Red the Trainer wants a Golduck in return, whereas the Trainer would like a Slowbro in return in Leaf Green.
Lickitung appear on Route 44 in Gold, Silver and Crystal. In addition to appearing on Route 44 in Heart Gold and Soul Silver, Lickitung also appear at the Safari Zone's Mountain area in the Morning and Day, and the Forest Area after placing 3 Water Objects in the area.
 Spin-Off Games
Lickitung can be found at Secret Storage 15, Trozei Battle and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.
Lickitung inhabit Western Cave 37F-44F in the first set of Mystery Dungeon games. In Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, Lickitung can be found at The Nightmare B1-B17, Marine Resort B1-B19 and Lost Wilderness B1-B17. Lickitung is exclusive to Light Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing at Chocolate Field 6F-10F.
Lickitung can be found at Everspring Valley Meadow 4-2 and World Axle Meadow B1 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.
 Trading Card Game
Lickitung is listed in the Southern Islands collection in its only promotional appearance. Lickitung is listed as a Common Card in the Versus, Aquapolis, Secret Wonders, Platinum and Triumphant sets; as an Uncommon Card in the Jungle, Gym Heroes, EX Fire Red and Leaf Green and Majestic Dawn sets; and as a Rare Card in the EX Dragon Frontiers set as a Delta Species card.
 Anime/Manga Information
Jessie would capture a Lickitung that had consumed her shopping purchases in the episode Princess Versus Princess, and Jessie's Lickitung almost won the competition against Misty, defeating Ash's Pikachu & Bulbasaur, along with Brock's Vulpix. But instead of getting to use Staryu, her Psyduck let itself out of its Poké Ball. Misty's Psyduck would defeat Lickitung and win the competition.
Lickitung's Manga Information is unknown as of writing.
 Pokémon Information
 Competitive Battling
Lickitung finds itself in the Not Fully Evolved Tier of Competitive Battling, but it is one of the bulkiest Pokémon in the tier. Despite this, its typing is more or less an Achilles' heel because the NFE Tier is a tier in which Fighting-Type Pokémon are very numerous.
