Linoone can use one of two Abilities: Pickup, which gives it a 10% chance of this Pokémon finding an item to hold after battle, but this won't work if it is already holding an item, and will also allow for the user of the ability to pick up the item of either its opponent or ally if such an item was used up during battle; or Gluttony, which allows its held Berry to be consumed earlier than usual when its Hit Points are low, an effect that gets cancelled out by the Unnerve ability. Linoone's Hidden Ability is Quick Feet. With the exception of Paralysis, when afflicted by a status condition its Speed Statistic increases by 50%.
Zigzagoon can evolve into Linoone starting at Level 20.
Linoone is in the Field Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 3,840 Steps to hatch. It takes Linoone One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.
Linoone resembles a ferret. Its fur has line patterns that run the length of its body, in contrast to the fur patterns seen on its pre-evolved form Zigzagoon.
Linoone doesn't have any gender differences to help differentiate between male and female.
Linoone can be found in the wild at Routes 118, 119, 120, 121 and 123 in Ruby and Sapphire, but only appears at Routes 118 and 119 in Emerald. Linoone can only be obtained by way of evolving Zigzagoon in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.
Linoone appear in Heart Gold and Soul Silver when the Pokégear is playing the Hoenn Sound in various different routes on Wednesdays only, but can be found in the Safari Zone with the right blocks placed in the Peak area.
Linoone appears at Huge Storage 4, Endless Level 36, Forever Level 16 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.
In the first Mystery Dungeon game, Linoone can only be obtained by evolving a Zigzagoon. In Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, Linoone can be found at Forest Path 1F-5F and Shimmer Hill 1F-17F. Linoone is exclusive to Stormy Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing on the Path to Treasure Mountain B15-B24.
Linoone inhabits Lila Forest in Pokémon Ranger. This would be Linoone's only appearance in the Pokémon Ranger series, as it wasn't in either Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia or Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs.
Linoone can be found at Desolated Ruins Canyon 3-1 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.
Trading Card Game
Linoone appears in four sets, the 6th Movie Halfdeck and the EX Trainer Kit Latios. It is listed as an Uncommon Card in all four sets that it is in: EX Ruby and Sapphire, EX Sandstorm, EX Emerald, and Great Encounters.
Wild Linoone have made appearances in Chapters 197 and 231.
In Generation VI, Linoone finds itself in the BorderLine 4 (BL4) tier of competitive battling, meaning it is banned from the PU tier but still usable in Neverused (NU) and all the tiers above. In NU, Linoone's only niche is being a late-game cleaner with Belly Drum and Extreme Speed. Thanks to its nice 100 base Speed and the +2 priority that comes with Extreme Speed, Linoone can rip apart teams if it gets the chance to set up. Unfortunately for Linoone, those chances are not plentiful due to general frailty, forcing Linoone to necessitate having a Dual Screens user or a Pokémon with Memento.
