Magmortar (ブーバーン) is the 202nd Pokémon in the Sinnoh Pokédex. It is a Fire-Type, and is known as the Blast Pokémon.
Magmortar uses the Flame Body Ability, an Ability that gives a 30% chance of afflicting an opponent that uses an attack that requires physical contact with a Burn, and Flame Body will also cut the number of steps it takes to hatch an egg in half. A second Ability is available to Magmortar from the Dream World, the Vital Spirit Ability. This Ability gives it an immunity to the Sleep Status Condition.
Magby can evolve into Magmar at level 30, and can evolve a second time into Magmortar if it is Traded while holding a Magmarizer.
Magmortar is in the Human-Like Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 6,400 Steps to hatch. It takes Magmortar One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.

[edit] Competitive Battling
Magmoratar finds itself in the Rarely-Utilized Tier of Competitive Battling. Its high Special Attack might make one think that a Special Wall will be enough to stop it, but think again, as it's Attack is high enough to be dangerous. In addition to having common weaknesses, it's also vulnerable to entry hazards in general and its Speed leaves something to be desired.
