[edit] Competitive Battling
Manaphy finds itself in the Uber Tier of Competitive Battling with thanks to its Ability Hydration, which makes it a great teammate with Kyogre, who causes it to rain with its Drizzle Ability, which frees up a moveslot as it won't need to use Rain Dance to activate its Ability.
Shutting down its Rain support will work well, as this prevents it from making use of its Ability, and strong Grass or Electric moves will bring it down.
