Medicham has the Huge Power Ability. This Ability doubles its Attack power in battle whilst this Ability is active; it and its pre-evolved form Meditite are the only two Pokémon that have access to this Ability as of Generation V. A second Ability is available to Medicham from the Dream World, the Telepathy Ability. This Ability automatically prevents damage from its allies during a Double or Triple Battle; moves like Muddy Water, Explosion, and Lava Plume won't damage a Pokémon that has this Ability.
Meditite evolves into Medicham starting at Level 37.
Medicham is in the Human-Like Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Medicham One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.
Medicham takes on the appearance of a fighter that uses its mental toughness to win battles. Its lower legs have a little more bulk than the rest of its slender body.
The top of a Male Medicham's cap is slightly bigger than the Female's.
Medicham appears at Endless Levels 16 & 35, Forever Level 65 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.
Medicham can be obtained by evolving a Meditite in the first Mystery Dungeon game. In Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, Medicham appears at Lost Wilderness B1-B17. Medicham is exclusive to Stormy Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3. It appears on Chocolate Island 18F & 19F, Mystery Marsh 14F-19F, and the following floors of Legendary Wetland: 26, 28, 33, 35-36, 38, 40, 43-45 & 48.
Medicham appears at Panulla Cave and Fiore Temple in Pokémon Ranger. This is Medicham's lone appearance in the Ranger series, as it has yet to appear in any of the sequels.
Medicham can be found at Sunny Seashore Canyon 4-3 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.
Trading Card Game
Medicham appears in seven different sets and the 9th Movie Halfdeck. It is listed as an Uncommon Card in the EX Hidden Legends and EX Power Keepers Sets. Medicham is listed as a Rare Card in the EX Hidden Legends, EX Emerald (EX Card), EX Crystal Guardians, Diamond and Pearl & Supreme Victors sets.
Another Co-ordinator used a Medicham in a Contest Battle against May. May would win her first Contest Ribbon using her Beautifly. Greta and Candice would both use Medicham in battles against Ash. Greta's Medicham was beaten by Ash's Snorlax with a thunderous Body Slam after it launched itself upward with a Hyper Beam to win the battle and the Guts Symbol. Candice's Medicham was defeated by Ash's Staraptor.
Another trainer used a Medicham in the film [[Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, the lone film appearance for Meditite to date.
Medicham's Manga info is unknown at this time.
Medicham finds itself in the Rarely-Utilized, Under-Utilized and Over-Utilized Tiers of Competitive Battling. While its Statistics don't look very impressive, it makes use of the Pure Power Ability to double its Attack, making it dangerously powerful. Hi Jump Kick will cause a serious amount of damage, but there's a lot of recoil in the event that move misses, attacks a Ghost-Type or the target uses Protect.
If Medicham isn't holding a Choice Scarf to boost its Speed, there's a better chance of scoring a Revenge-KO against it because it isn't very fast without this Hold Item. Certain Ghost-Type and Psychic-Type Pokémon are very good counters to Medicham's power; Dusknoir and Spiritomb are good Ghost-Type counters while Uxie or Sigilyph make for good Psychic-Type counters in their own respective manner.
