Meditite (アサナン) is the 76th Pokémon in the Hoenn Pokédex. It is a Fighting/Psychic Type, and it is known as the Meditate Pokémon.
Meditite has the Huge Power Ability. This Ability doubles its Attack power in battle whilst this Ability is active. A second Ability is available to Meditite from the Dream World, the Telepathy Ability. This Ability automatically prevents damage from its allies during a Double or Triple Battle; moves like Surf, Explosion, and Earthquake won't damage a Pokémon that has this Ability.
Meditite gains the opportunity to evolve into Medicham starting at Level 37.
Meditite is in the Human-Like Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Meditite One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.

[edit] Biology
[edit] Physiology
Meditite takes on the appearance of a small monk in meditation. The way that its sprite levitates during meditation is reminiscent of Dhalsim from the Street Fighter series.
[edit] Gender Differences
The position of Meditite's ears is the determining factor of a Meditite's gender. A male Meditite's ears are raised, whereas a female Meditite's ears are lowered.
[edit] Game Information
[edit] Original Games
Meditite appears in the grass areas of Mt. Pyre and Victory Road B1 in Ruby and Sapphire.
Meditite's appearance at Route 208 is exclusive to Diamond and Pearl. The rest of the areas that it appears in are shared with these two games and Platinum: North End of Route 210, Route 211, Route 216, Acuity Lakefront, Mt. Coronet B1 and the Route 207, 211 & 216 entrances to Mt. Coronet.
Meditite appears at Sprout Tower, Burned Tower, and Bell Tower when Sinnoh Sound airs on the Poké Gear's Radio on Thursdays, and the Safari Zone's Mountain area on any day of the week. Place 20 Forest Objects and Meditite will start to appear--there are zero days to wait for an appearance with this zone customization.
The only way to obtain a Meditite in Black 2 and White 2 is to Breed a Medicham.
[edit] Spin-off Games
A Meditite appears in Pokémon Colosseum as a Shadow Pokémon. Snag it from Rider Twan at Pyrite Cave. Meditite also appears in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, but not as a Shadow Pokémon. Instead, trade a Trapinch to Duking in Pyrite Town to obtain one.
Meditite appears at Phobos Walker, Endless Level 23, Forever Level 23 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.
Meditite appears at Mt. Steel 5F-8F, Buried Relic 17F-22F, Wish Cave 11F-14F and Solar Cave 4F-8F in the first Mystery Dungeon game. In Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, Meditite appears on the first 19 floors of Mt. Travail, Lost Wilderness B1-B17 and Final Maze B1-B48. Meditite is exclusive to Stormy Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing at B1-B15 of Cloudy Rockland.
Meditite appears at the Underground Waterways in Pokémon Ranger. This is Meditite's lone appearance in the Ranger series, as it has yet to appear in any of the sequels.
Meditite can be found at Sunny Seashore Canyon 4-3 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.
