Mega Manectric uses Intimidate which reduces the opponent's Attack by one stage upon entering battle, affecting both opponents in a Double Battle.
Manectric can Mega Evolve into Mega Manectric if it is holding a Manectite.
Mega Manectric resides in the Overused (OU) tier of competitive battling. With a high 135 base Speed that puts it a speed tier ahead of the majority of the unboosted metagame and a great ability in Intimidate that softens up physical attackers to allow for other Pokémon to have an easier time switching in, Mega Manectric is a very useful and capable Mega Evolution. Having Fire-type coverage in Overheat and Flamethrower is a distinct attribute that differentiates it from other Electric-types and allows it to check threats like Mega Scizor and Mega Metagross. Thanks to resistances to Steel and Flying-type attacks along with Intimidate, Mega Manectric can tank priority attacks relatively well and retaliate with a Thunderbolt. Mega Manectric is a great pivot for teams with Volt Switch, gaining momentum and buffering physical attacks. However, Mega Manectric does has somewhat underwhelming power for a Mega Evolution and has relatively mediocre bulk. It is also predictable due to a shallow movepool and lack of other capable niches. Despite this, Mega Manectric is a great Mega Evolution that can provide offensive utility with its revenge killing and momentum gaining ability.
