Meganium, the Herb Pokémon, is the last stage in the evolutionary chain of the Generation II Grass type starter, Chikorita.It is the third Pokémon in the Johto Pokédex.
Meganium has the ability Overgrow. This means that once Meganium's HP is less than a third all Grass type moves are 50% stronger.
At level 32 Bayleef has the option to evolve into Meganium.
Meganium is in the egg groups Monster and Plant, and will hatch after 5,355 steps. It will take a Meganium 1,059,860 experience to reach level 100.

Meganium takes the appearance of a pale green colored four-legged mammal. The most distinguishing feature of a Meganium is the ring of petals around its neck. It has two antennae sprouting out of the top of its head.

Meganium is available as the final evolution of Chikorita in Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal, and subsequently Heart Gold and Soul Silver. If the player picks Chikorita as their starter Pokémon, their rival will eventually have Typhlosion as theirs; if the player picks Totodile as their starter Pokémon, their rival will eventually have Meganium as theirs.
