Meowth is one of the main Pokémon characters in the Pokémon animé (along with Pikachu). The Meowth in the animé is a member of Team Rocket, who can talk unlike other Meowth's. [edit] Anime
The vast majority of Meowth's appearances has been as a member of Team Rocket since the second episode in the series Pokemon Emergency! This Meowth is able to walk and speak like a human. The only other notable trainer to use a Meowth was Tyson, who used one in the Hoenn League.
In episode "Once more with reeling", Meowth, together with Jessie and James, uses a net cannon and captures Pikachu and other pokemon during Pokemon Contest break. But when Blaziken jumped (Combusken's evolved form), Meowth, by James's command, fired a net to capture Blaziken but, instead of capturing, Blaziken just cut down the net and used Blaze Kick. Meowth was exceptionally panicky (his first word that he said after Blaziken cut down the net was "Yikes").
