Nidoran M (ニドラン♂) is the 32nd Pokémon in the Kanto Pokédex. He is a Poison-Type, and is known as the Poison Pin Pokémon.

Nidoran M can have one of two Abilities: Poison Point, which has a 30% chance of Poisoning an opponent that uses a move against Nidoran M that requires physical contact; or Rivalry, which increases his Attack and Special Attack by 25% against opposing male Pokémon but reduces those same Statistics by 25% against opponents of the opposite gender. A third Ability is available to Nidoran M from the Dream World, the Hustle Ability. This Ability increases the power of physical moves by 50%, but the Accuracy of these moves falls to 80%.

Nidoran M gain the opportunity to evolve into Nidorino starting at Level 16, and can evolve a second time into Nidoking when a Moon Stone is used on him.

Nidoran M is in the Egg Groups Monster and Field, and his Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Nidoran M 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Nidoran ♂ is a small purple Pokémon that is rodent-like. It stands on all four of its legs. It has some small dark purple patches on some parts of its body. Nidoran ♂ has large ears that has the inner colouration teal. He has a large spikes on his back that are poisonous. He has a horn on his forehead that is also poisonous.

Nidoran M can be found at Route 22 and the Safari Zone in Red, Blue and Yellow, and can also appear at Routes 2, 9 and 10 in Yellow. In Gold and Silver, Nidoran M can be found at Routes 35 and 36, while Nidoran M appears at the National Park in Crystal.

Nidoran M can be found at Route 3 and the Safari Zone in Fire Red and Leaf Green. A Nidoran F can be traded for a Nidoran M in Leaf Green as well.

Nidoran M can be found at Route 201 in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum by using the Poké Radar. In Heart Gold and Soul Silver, Nidoran M can be found at Routes 35 and 36, along with the Safari Zone's Savannah zone during the Morning and Day.

Nidoran M can be found at White Forest in Pokémon White. In Black 2 and White 2, Nidoran M can be found in a Hidden Grotto on Route 2.

Nidoran M make appearances at Secret Storage 4, Huge Storage 4, Endless Level 5 and Mr. Who's Den in Pokémon Trozei!.

Nidoran M can be found at Mt. Thunder 1F-4F, Wish Cave 33F-37F and Oddity Cave B1-B4 in the first set of Mystery Dungeon games. In Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, Nidoran M can be found at Mystery Jungle B1-B29 and Mystifying Forest B1-B13, which is known as Mystic Forest in Explorers of Sky with the same floor range. Nidoran M is exclusive to Light Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing at Dubious Valley 5F-6F and Final Cave 1F-2F.

Nidoran M has yet to appear in any of the Pokémon Ranger games as of writing.

Nidoran M can be found at Shimmering Lake Cave 2-4 in Pokémon Rumble Blast.

A young trainer named Ralph would use a Nidoran M in the episode Wherefore Art Thou, Pokémon?. After settling a long-running feud with his neighbor Emily and defeating Team Rocket with the assistance of her Nidoran F, his Nidoran M would evolve into a Nidorino.

Wild Nidoran M make appearances in The Power of One, Celebi: Voice of the Forest, Destiny Deoxys, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew and Arceus and the Jewel of Life, along with the Pikachu Short Pikachu's Vacation.

Fisherman Wilton would appear with a Nidoran M in Chapter 39, in which Green would attempt to use the charm of her Nidoran F as a means to trade her Weedle for his Butterfree. Red caught onto her scheme and stopper her before the plan could be carried out.
