Pangoro can use one of two Abilities: Iron Fist, which increases the power of its Punch-based attacks by 20%; or Mold Breaker, which allows its moves to work as they normally would without being influenced by the opponents' Abilities. Pangoro's Hidden Ability is Scrappy, which allows it to hit a Ghost-Type Pokémon with Normal-Type and Fighting-Type attacks.
Pancham can evolve into Pangoro at Level 32 as long as there is a Dark-Type Pokémon in the team.
Pangoro takes on the appearance of a full-grown panda, albeit with an angry look upon its face and a small twig in its mouth. Most of its fur is black, save for its torso and face, which is white.
Pangoro doesn't have any visible differences to differentiate between male and female.
Pangoro cannot be found in the wild in Pokémon X and Y. The only way to obtain one is to evolve a Pancham. In Pokémon Sun and Moon, it can be caught in the wild at Route 10, Route 11 and Route 17 when called on by a Pancham in an S.O.S. Battle.

Pangoro is in the Borderline 2 (BL2) tier of competitive battling, meaning that it is banned from the Rarelyused (RU) tier but not used enough to be a part of the Underused (UU) tier. With a high base 124 Attack, great offensive typing, and solid coverage options, Pangoro can be a very threatening Pokémon to be matched up against. Parting Shot is an extremely unique move that provides a nice degree of utility by acting as a pseudo-U-turn and lowering the opponent's offenses. Iron Fist and Mold Breaker are both great abilities that give Pangoro excellent wallbreaking abilities, with the former boosting attacks like Hammer Arm and Drain Punch while the latter disregards abilities like Filter and Sturdy. Pangoro works best as an all-out attacker with either a Choice Band or Life Orb that uses its STAB attacks Hammer Arm and Knock Off to deal heavy damage while having coverage in Gunk Shot and Parting Shot to gain momentum for the team. It can also run a Swords Dance set that can break unprepared stall teams. However, there are many flaws that hold Pangoro back from being a top-tier threat. Pangoro is heavily hampered by its low Speed, lack of priority attacks, and common weaknesses that make the UU tier hostile to it.
