Paralysis

Paralysis is a status condition that causes the affected Pokémon to have its Speed Statistic cut in half. When attempting to attack the Pokémon has a 25% chance of failing and getting the message, "[Name of Pokémon] is paralyzed! It can't move!"

Starting in Generation VI, Electric-Type Pokémon are immune to Paralysis and cannot become Paralyzed as a result.

Paralysis does not have an effect outside of battle.
