Paras (パラス) is the 46th Pokémon in the Pokédex. It is a Bug/Grass-Type, and is known as the Mushroom Pokémon.

Paras can use one of two Abilities: Effect Spore, which has a 10% chance of afflicting an opponent with Paralysis, Poison or Sleep if it gets hit with a move requiring physical contact; or Dry Skin, which restores HP when it gets hit with a Water-Type move or during periods of rain but reduces its HP during periods of strong sunlight and increases its vulnerability to Fire-Type moves. A third Ability is available to Paras from the Dream World, the Damp Ability, which prevents Pokémon from using Selfdestruct and Explosion whilst in battle.

Paras gain the opportunity to evolve into Parasect starting at Level 24.

Paras is in the Egg Groups Bug and Grass, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Paras One Million Experience Points to reach Level 100.
