Phione (フィオネ) is the 489th Pokémon in the Pokédex. It is a Water-Type, and is known as the Sea Drifter Pokémon.

Phione uses the Hydration Ability, an Ability that heals any Status Conditions that it could get afflicted with while it is raining.

Phione doesn't evolve and doesn't have a pre-evolved form.

Phione is in the Egg Groups Water 1 and Fairy, and its Egg takes approximately 10,240 Steps to hatch. It takes Phione 1,250,000 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Phione takes on the appearance of a small blue fair with a gem on its chest and two dark blue dots towards the center of its forehead.

The only way to obtain a Phione is to breed a Manaphy with a Ditto. But despite having the ability to breed an offspring Phione cannot evolve.

Phione can be found at the Bottom of Miracle Sea on the second trip to the dungeon in Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky. Phione is exclusive to Stormy Adventure Squad in Mystery Dungeon 3, appearing on the 16th Floor of Storm Island, but a Secret Slab or Enigma Part is required in order to encounter it.

Phione can be found in the Underwater Ruins section of Canal Ruins in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs.

Phione appears at Desolated Ruins Beach 3-1 in Pokémon Rumble Blast after meeting a total of 20 people.

A Wild Phione makes a featured appearance in Hold the Phione; one gets separated from a group of Phione and would draw the attention of Team Rocket. However, the combination of Phione and Pikachu would be too much to overcome for Team Rocket, and Phione would leave to catch up to its group.

Phione is listed in the Never-Utilized Tier of Competitive Battling. Generally, Phione will set up rain for its allies, which activates its Ability and works to support Rain-based teams. Anything faster that can either defeat it with a Super-Effective move or use Taunt before it can use Rain Dance will be able to preempt its attempt to set up.
