Pignite uses the Blaze Ability. This Ability increases its Fire Type attacks once its HP falls below one-third of its maximum. A second Ability is available to Pignite that come from the Dream World, the Thick Fat Ability. This Ability reduces the damage that it takes from Fire and Ice Type attacks by 50%.
Pignite is in the Field Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Pignite 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
Pignite takes on the appearance of a pig-like fighter. Its dark-colored fur has grown to resemble the attire of an amateur wrestler. The dark fur with yellow trim that is around its arms resemble gloves.

Bianca appears with a Pignite in a few episodes, starting with Mincinno-Neat and Tidy. Another trainer would appear with a Pignite in the episode A Venipede Stampede, an episode in which a swarm of Venipede attacked Castelia City.
