Piplup (ポッチャマ) is the seventh Pokémon in the Sinnoh Pokédex. It is a Water Type, and it is known as the Penguin Pokémon.
Piplup's Torrent Ability increases the power of its Water type attacks when its HP is below a third, while its Dream World Ability Defiant increases its Attack Statistic by two stages whenever one of its stats are lowered, excluding statistic deductions that are self-inflicted or caused by an allied Pokémon.
Piplup gains the opportunity to evolve into Prinplup starting at level 16, and can evolve a second time into Empoleon starting at level 36.
Piplup is in the Egg Groups Water 1 and Field, and its egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Piplup 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.
