Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! are the latest upcoming spin-off titles in the line of Generation VII Pokémon titles. They are reboots of the game Pokémon Yellow Version with the mechanics and linked gameplay to Pokémon GO. The games were announced at a special press conference held by the Pokémon Company on May 29, 2018, and are set to release worldwide on November 16, 2018.

Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! are reboots of the 1998 game Pokémon Yellow Version, focusing on the story of a young hero/heroine and their journey around the Kanto region. Depending on the game, the player will start with a Pikachu or an Eevee obtained from Professor Oak, as they travel the region together to capture new Pokémon, battle the nefarious Team Rocket and become the strongest trainer in the region.

The gameplay of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! is similar to that of the mobile game Pokémon GO in its capture mechanics. Pokémon will show up in the overworld for capture, however players will not engage in a Pokémon battle with them. Pokémon are captured by flicking the Joy-Con, which throws a Poké Ball. Bonuses are given depending on how well the throw was performed.

The games feature the original 151 Pokémon as well as the newly introduced Alolan Forms. These Pokémon can be transferred between Pokémon GO, with those transferred into the games being brought to Go Park.

Players can also bring a friend along on their journey through a drop-in local co-op mode. Not much is currently known about this feature, besides better capture bonuses being given depending on how well both players perform their throws.

Releasing alongside these games is the Poké Ball Plus, a Poké Ball shaped peripheral that can be used in place of a Joy-Con. Similar to the PokéWalker, it can also be used to take one of the player's Pokémon for a stroll, in addition working in place of the Pokémon GO Plus with Pokémon GO.
