Pokémon Professor

A Pokémon Professor is someone who would be considered an expert on Pokémon in their region. Most Pokémon Professors are often researchers and are the people who are usually relied on to hand out a Pokédex and a starter Pokémon to new trainers.

The Professors from the regions in the video games and anime are all named after types of trees.
