 New Features
- PokéAssists have changed; the Pokémon you choose to assist you will directly join the battle on-screen. This also adds another change: PokéAssist Finish. The Pokémon you are using can be attacked by the one you are trying to capture, which will cause it to Flee, ending the PokéAssist.
- Ranger Sign is a new feature which allows you to summon certain Pokémon by drawing a Symbol on the Touch Screen. Symbols will be found and become usable during the course of the game.
- Guardian Signs will be the first game to feature a multiplayer mode. This works for Past Missions, accessible when your character proceeds far enough in the game to be able to travel back in time and play Past Missions in the Temple. One player is the Mission Leader, while the other one, two, or three players are Members of said mission.
Playing these Past Missions solo is possible, but extremely difficult.
