Poliwhirl (ニョロゾ) is the 61st Pokémon in the Pokédex. It is a Water-Type, and is known as the Tadpole Pokémon.

Poliwhirl can use one of two Abilities: Water Absorb, which restores up to a quarter of its Maximum HP if another Pokémon tries to hit it with a Water-Type move; or Damp, which stops Self-Destruct and Explosion from working while it remains in battle. Its Hidden Ability is Swift Swim, which doubles its Speed during periods of heavy rain.

Poliwag can evolve into Poliwhirl at Level 25. From here, it can evolve into a Poliwrath by using a Water Stone, or from Generation II onward, into a Politoed if Poliwhirl is traded to another game whilst holding a King's Rock.

Poliwhirl is in the Water 1 Egg Group, and its Egg takes approximately 5,120 Steps to hatch. It takes Poliwhirl 1,059,860 Experience Points to reach Level 100.

Biology

Physiology

Poliwhirl hasn't made any extreme changes after evolving. Though it has developed two arms, which has glove like hands, it has also lost its tail as well and the fact that its eyes are now at the top of its head. A minor change would be that its swirl is now going the opposite direction, and is a lot better at swimming and walking prior to evolving from Poliwag.

Gender Differences

Poliwhirl doesn't have any distinguishable differences to differentiate between male and female.
